And on earth there are signs of [Allah's existence, visible] to all who are endowed with inner certainty, just as [there are signs thereof] within your own selves. Can you not, then see? (Al-Quran, 51:20-21)

FUTURE PLANS

The society envisages the following plans for future:

  • Recognition of SRD in acedemia.

  • Designing courses of SRD for different levels and curricula.

  • Based on the encouraging findings of our pilot project, modernization of Madaris (religious seminaries) and curricular reforms.

  • Tradition of setting up of a team with multi-disciplinary approach.

  • International conference(s) on issues at the interface of Science and Religion and common problems faced by great faiths.

  • Setting up of full-fledged SRD institute with separate wings for every vital section /area of people and discipline.

  • Establishment of national foundation on covering every vital area of SRD related research for each of the important sections of society and discipline , and research on the contribution and impact of Religion and Science in the advancement of civilization.

  • Drive for establishment of SRD faculties in universities and research institutes.

  • Establishment of platform on SRD for greater collaboration with different regional combinations – South Asia, Middle East , Central Asia, and Muslim World.

We believe that both religion and science are essential needs of man --- one spiritual, the other material--- and both instead of contradicting , complement each other. We share age-old and common dream of the humanity—to seek the truth, divulge the secret and find meaning in the existence.  We are all determined to make, what humble contribution we can, to bridge the gulf between religion and science and make this world a better place as A. N. Whitehead said:

“When we consider what religion is for (humanity) and what science is, it is no exaggeration to say that the future course of the history depends upon the decision of this generation as to the relations between them”.
